A New Subsidized Program for 30,000 Unemployed People in Key Sectors is Expected

The action concerns the provision of theoretical training to 30,000 unemployed individuals in key sectors such as Commerce, Industry, Handicrafts, and Exports. The initiative includes:

  • Training programs of up to 400 hours duration.
  • Certification in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17024 international standard or through internationally recognized certifications.
  • Training allowance of €5.00 per hour (gross).

The action is implemented under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.


Implementation Method

The training programs will be delivered through:

  • Synchronous distance learning (teletraining)
  • Asynchronous distance learning

Eligibility Criteria

Participation in the action is open to all unemployed individuals – with no restrictions related to prior participation – who meet the following criteria:

  • Are over 18 years old.
  • Are registered with the Public Employment Service (DYPA), regardless of whether they are receiving unemployment benefits.
  • Are graduates of at least compulsory education.
