Description:
The purpose of the training is to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction in the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology, aiming at obtaining a UAV Operator License.
Through both theory and hands-on practice, participants will:
Learn the correct handling and operation of UAVs,
Develop certified skills for safe flight, maintenance, and troubleshooting,
And gain a detailed understanding of the European legislation governing UAV usage.

-Individuals over 18 years old who wish to fly drones as a hobby
Benefits:
Upon completion of this training program, participants will receive certificates of study completion, which, when submitted to the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA), will enable them to obtain a certified EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) license in categories A1/A3 & A2.

b) Practical training
This section aims to train participants to develop certified skills for safe flight, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Specifically, among the main thematic areas to be taught are:
- UAV Operation Preparation
- Flight Preparation
- Flight under Normal Conditions
- Flight under Abnormal Conditions
- Briefing and Feedback
Duration:
The theoretical training is asynchronous and conducted online, with a duration ranging from 6 to 15 hours. Additionally, synchronous online training is offered, with a maximum duration of 2 hours per week for addressing questions. The practical training lasts approximately 2 hours per pair of trainees or may also be conducted individually.
Cost:
The participation cost amounts to €200.
Certifications:
Upon completion of the training process, examinations are conducted… and participants receive a remote pilot license certified under EASA A1 / A3 & A2.
Trainers:
Ilias Papaevgeniadis holds a Bachelor’s degree (BEng) and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications. He is a certified unmanned aircraft (drone) operator and a licensed drone instructor accredited by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA). Since 2019, he has been the Director of the Drone Training Academy at Altus LSA.
