BASIC TRAINING PROGRAM FOR PRIVATE SECURITY PERSONNEL (SECURITY)

The educational organization “DIMITRA” is a certified provider by the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) and undertakes the implementation of specialized seminars that lead to certification and acquisition of a Private Security Personnel license. The aim of the programs is to provide knowledge on issues of legislation, coverage of all aspects of physical and digital security, as well as practical scenarios that every employee in the private security sector must be familiar with in order to perform their duties with confidence and efficiency, in accordance with the updated regulatory framework (Gov. Gazette B’ 4491/25-08-2022).

The programs are aimed at individuals seeking a secure professional path in a field with high demand in the labor market, such as Private Security Service Companies, Internal Security Departments of Organizations and Businesses, etc.

Specifically, the right to participate in the Certification Exams is granted to those who cumulatively:

a) Meet the requirements of subparagraphs a’ and b’ of paragraph 1 of Article 2 of Law 2518/1997 (Government Gazette A’ 164), as amended and in force, i.e., are Greek citizens or expatriates or citizens of a European Union member state and have reached the age of 18.

b) Are graduates of secondary education systems or post-secondary formal and non-formal vocational education and training or higher education, or possess professional experience as Private Security Personnel.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

• Participate in the prevention and control of criminal activities.
• Monitor, patrol, and verify incidents.
• Intervene to implement preventive measures and inform citizens.
• Understand basic concepts of Civil and Criminal Law.
• Take part in the Certification Exams conducted by the KEMEA (Center for Security Studies) to obtain the Professional License to Practice.

For the training delivery, electronic presentations, specialized handouts, case studies, work simulations, etc. are combined.

The duration of the program is 105 hours (approximately 1 month). Classes are conducted either in person or through the method of synchronous distance learning.

• The cost amounts to €300
• Examination Fees: €50 fee for KEMEA and €100 for E.O.P.P.E.P.

Trainees participate in Certification Examinations conducted by KE.ME.A and E.O.P.P.E.P. for the acquisition of the Professional Practice License.

Our institution collaborates with certified trainers from the Instructor Registries of KE.ME.A. and E.O.P.P.E.P., who possess many years of experience in Security Services and have in-depth knowledge of all international and European standards.
