Description
The project titled “Facilitation, Empowerment, and Employment Documentation Office in the intervention area (Job Center) for the promotion of the Socioeconomic Integration of Unemployed Members of Vulnerable Households Subject to Social Discrimination” focuses on promoting the active inclusion of unemployed individuals belonging to vulnerable households who experience poverty and social exclusion. The initiative aims to combine the elimination of social exclusion with employment promotion and access to quality services.
With the goal of reaching at least eight hundred (800) potential beneficiaries and supporting at least one hundred and fifty (150) unemployed individuals through the services of the Job Center, the project aims to implement a comprehensive, individualized approach for each beneficiary, based on their needs, abilities, and skills.
Specifically, the services of the Job Center were as follows:
- Coordination of the action
- Identification, awareness-raising, and outreach to potential beneficiaries through publicity and awareness campaigns and/or referrals from the municipality’s social services.
- Monitoring and production of monthly documentation and data analysis reports on employment, both locally and within the framework of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (SUDS), in a continuous and dynamic manner through the specialized information system for employment documentation and data analysis developed within the project.
- Implementation of activities for outlining the social and employment profile of the beneficiaries and diagnosing their needs through individual sessions.
- Implementation of individual sessions aimed at developing an Action Plan for empowerment and identification of the beneficiaries’ inclinations.
- Implementation of experiential workshops on psychosocial and/or employment counseling (coaching – mentoring) and/or promotion of entrepreneurship.
- Information about immediately available job opportunities / seasonal employment.
- Matching of at least 150 beneficiaries with the labor market through the Job Matching Information System for Unemployed and Employers developed as part of the project.
The Action was funded by the Regional Operational Programme Thessaly 2014–2020.
