I.T.D. “DIMITRA” organized successfully on Thursday the 04th & Friday the 05th of March the second participants’ meeting within the Program ”Operational Model of Common Quality Assurance Framework at VET-provider level” (CQAFVET). More specifically, during the meeting, which took place in I.T.D. “Dimitra’s” premises in Larisa, there were defined the indexes and the sections of the quality assurance framework in connection with the European Common Quality Assurance Framework (EU CQAF-VET) as far as professional education & skills are concerned. Moreover, an agreement was accomplished on the areas of VET the model could cover as well as on the development approach. Furthermore, there was a discussion about the work that has already been done and at the same time an agreement on deliverables, on work to be done in the next stage and on date and agenda for the next meeting. CQAF is a reference system designed to support Member States to develop, improve, monitor and evaluate their QA systems, based on common principles. The aim of CQAF is to help Member States and participating countries to develop, improve, monitor and evaluate their own systems and practices, based on common principles, criteria and tools. The CQAF can be applied at both the system and VET provider levels and can therefore be used to assess the effectiveness of VET. It gives a particular emphasis to the improvement and evaluation of the ‘outputs’ and ‘outcomes’ of VET in terms of increasing employability, improving the match between demand and supply, and promoting better access to lifelong training, in particular for disadvantaged people. In total the gains from the use of the CQAF are effectiveness, transparency and mutual trust in VET systems, within and across countries. The framework includes the following interrelated elements: Planning, Implementation, Evaluation & assessment, Review.
