    Digital Empowerment - DigEm is an innovative digital empowering project that uses a creative approach to teaching basic ICT skills and provides an effective entry route for learners who are disengaged with the learning process, or who are unconfident with new technologies.  DgEm develops literacy and communication skills by using creative tools, media techniques and tools, by the creation of story ideas, focused on people's own lives, through story-telling circles, drama, photography, music, video clips and narrative. The main objectives of the project is to introduce alternative methods for the teaching of ICT skills for groups that have been excluded or reluctant to join the digital society. The project is being coordinated by DIMITRA ITD with the participation of partner organization from eight  (8) European Countries; England, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Greece.  The training approach will be complemented by the development of an e-content platform in order to facilitate the trainees (both trainers and end-users).

    The main objective of this project is to create the European Outplacement Guide – EOG, which contains the concept of outplacement including its definitions, methodologies and tools. In addition to this EOG some specific training modules will be elaborated, which enhances the outplacement tutors/mentors in their future tasks and roles. “DIMITRA” Institute participates on this project as well as organizations from Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland and Portugall.

  • Developing the Professional Skills of the Future Sports Instructors in accordance with the EQF -  N/A 

    The project aims at improving the theoretical and practical education of the stakeholders involved in vocational education by an exchange of practices carried out in the countries of the participating institutions. The participants will familiarize themselves with the national qualification framework of the countries involved to determine the professional standards of the sports instructors they have in common, the schooling and certification procedure, as well as the technical vocabulary sports instructors should possess. The project is organized in five stages, comprising six topics that will be approached throughout the two years; the participants will share information through the partner website, and they will put it into practice in workshops, debates and visits in sports centres that will be organized during the project meetings. At the end of the project, the partner institutions will issue a brochure and a CD containing models of good practice in the development of the professional skills of the sports instructors, in accordance with the EQF.

    “Migrants in the Media” project aims to improve the interaction between third-country nationals (immigrants) and Member State citizens by promoting intercultural competences with programming - and journalistic staff of national Public Service Broadcasters (PSB) and media skills with immigrant organisations. The outcomes of the project will help on the long term to improve PSB as a platform for intercultural dialogue and to act as a binding factor between all citizens of the multicultural society, helping to create an atmosphere of mutual understanding and intercultural communication. Immigrant organisations will establish themselves as mediators between the immigrant communities and the media organisations by offering the media better access to immigrant communities, to provide better skilled immigrant spokes persons and information on the opinions and developments inside the immigrant communities.

    The objective of the project is to create a tool that will help students of secondary education as well as business people to learn different languages. As far as secondary education children are concerned, learning will be targeted towards the everyday activities (eg introducing new people, visiting restaurants, weather, outing, shopping etc) whereas for business people learning will target business activities such as making a professional phone call, writing a professional email, paying an invoice etc.

    The project aims to develop a qualifications framework for Personal Assistants based on learning outcomes (Los), to identify Los that may be easier to be developed through non formal and informal learning and to use this information to design methodological tools to be used during formal training for these outcomes, to develop with the aid of an Assessment Tool a European certification for secretaries and Pas and to develop a modular curriculum & training material that will enable Pas to certify and to assign credits to the modules of this curriculum.
