The ‘MUVI-Developing strategies to work with men who use violence in intimate relationships’ project, approved and funded by the European Commission’s Daphne 2006 Programme, was presented by Bologna Municipality together with the Shelter for Women against Violence (Casa delle donne per non subire violenza). The project partners are the Alternative to Violence Centre, ATV (Oslo), Innovation, Transfer and Development, ITD (Barcelona), the Greek training centre DIMITRA and AEDA, Athens municipality’s Development Agency.The MUVI project aims to raise awareness among the public and among those who work in the social field on the problem of men’s violent behaviour against women in intimate relationships.

The overall goal of this 2 year Daphne project is to create a multidisciplinary network of operators involved, at different levels, in fighting the intimate partner violence, in order to provide a coordinated answer and in which the institutions can fight the intimate relationship violence, protect the victims and persecute the offenders. The main objective of this project is twofold: Firstly, a high-level strategizing cross-training addressed to law enforcement, police operators, prosecutors, judicial operators, forensic professionals and lawyers. The final vademecum, as a result of the training sessions, will be the effective tool, designed specifically for target groups. Secondly, to compare the networks models already existing and take advantage from them to implement a new and shared protocol. The indirect beneficiaries are both the whole judicial system and all the real or potential victims. This Daphne project is coordinated by the University of Bologna and participate partners from Italy, Spain, Germany and Greece. DIMITRA ITD participates as partner.

“CQAF-online: Common Quality Assurance Framework-VET, a provider online model” project develops an operational model of a common European tools and documents for Quality Assurance (QA) for Vocational Education & Training (VET). The aim of CQAF is to help Member States and participating countries to develop, improve, monitor and evaluate their own VET systems and practices, based on common principles, criteria and tools.
The project is a continuation of the action that was completed in October 2011, through which developed the basic structure and the content of the model. At this stage there will be the necessary corrections through an application process – test of the model to training providers, in order to be applicable for different VET providers in different EU countries. Finally, it will be developed, a user friendly online version of the model.
The program is co funded by the European Union with the participation of organizations from Greece, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, and Cyprus.

The project is being coordinated by DIMITRA ITD with the participation of partner organization from eight (8) European Countries; England, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Greece. The project aims at improving the theoretical and practical education of the stakeholders involved in vocational education by an exchange of practices carried out in the countries of the participating institutions. The participants will familiarize themselves with the national qualification framework of the countries involved to determine the professional standards of the sports instructors they have in common, the schooling and certification procedure, as well as the technical vocabulary sports instructors should possess. The project is organized in five stages, comprising six topics that will be approached throughout the two years; the participants will share information through the partner website, and they will put it into practice in workshops, debates and visits in sports centres that will be organized during the project meetings. At the end of the project, the partner institutions will issue a brochure and a CD containing models of good practice in the development of the professional skills of the sports instructors, in accordance with the EQF.

The EM-Kit “Empowerment Kit for immigrant women with low educational/working experience” is a 2 year project which aims at improving accessibility to pre / vocational /professional education for immigrant women, especially those with low educational / working experience, in order to help them to enter labor market and become more active members of society. The project will result to an empowerment kit in key competences based on the needs of the target group. The preparatory kit will comprise a set of modules needed for entrance to formal pre / vocational / professional education by immigrant women with low educational / working experience and it will be an important step for immigrant women’s access to employment and active citizenship through conscious choice of profession, development of individual action plan and acquirement of competences necessary for successful attendance of vocational programs in the host country. The training will be combined with continuous individual support provided by the bilingual mentors with intercultural background.
