The 4th international meeting of the IGMA partnership will take place on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 of May 2013 in Deventer, Netherlands. IGMA is two year Grundtvig project which is coordinated by Folkuniversitetet of Uppsala-Sweden. Organizations from 6 European countries participate in the project: Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Romania, Cyprus and Greece (DIMITRA ITD).
DIMITRA ITD has already created the local network with the participation of agents from the Greek Manpower Employment Organization, Directories of Foreigners and Immigration and Social Affairs by Decentralized Administration of Thessaly and Central Greece, Institute of Psychosocial Development, and representatives from Adult Education organizations and local labor market. The training material of the IGMA methodology has been developed in the partnership and translated in Greek. In the next phase of the project (summer 2013), pilot workshops will be organized. The participants will be trained, certified as EU Integration Agents and later implement the methodology at regional level.
The IGMA project aims to improve accessibility to adult education for low-skilled immigrants, in order to help them enter the labor market and become more active members of society, through developing an innovative guidance methodology.
